Good food
I love the foods! And amazing worker their! They are fast making the food!!
I think they have great food and great service. Very friendly. We order here every week!
I've been Local for 5 years. The food is mediocre at best. The owner is rude to his customers. Started to charge a minimal card fee. I never carry cash and neither do I want to buy $10 worth of food on my budget. Will no longer do business there. Bring back the bar!
None of the employees wear masks. Despite the paper sign on the door claiming masks are required, they don't care when anyone walks in without a mask. Won't be going to a place that doesn't take a pandemic seriously again.
Food has always been excellent. Their calzone comes highly recommended. Unfortunately I found their service to be lackluster at times.
Very nice family owned and operated pizza place. Food is great!
Good place for take-out. We love the pizza and stromboli's here. The Double Crust Pizza is the best.
Fast lunch, huge portion, fair price.****
Food was very good.
Great place , good food , good drinks
Great food eat outside and watch the traffic busy intersection.
I went there yesterday and saw a sign on the door that stated must wear a mask. I went in and placed my order while there was no one else in the restaurant. The guy that waited on me did not have a mask on. In walks a teenager with no mask standing approximately 4 feet from me. I asked the kid where his mask was and he said he did not have one. I told him about the sign on the door to which the guy waiting on me replied that the boy was like family and he was okay without a mask. The kid went to the other side of the counter, meanwhile the guy that works there went in the back and gradually the rest of the family came out without masks and congregated in the front, which made me feel very uncomfortable because here I am a 71 yr old with my mask on to protect them and they had a blatant disregard for my safety. I don't know what the regulations are for restaurant workers are but I'm sure it's not how they behaved. They just lost a good customer.
My wife and I stopped him on a whim, I'm glad we did, the food was very good, our waitress was great the prices are very reasonable.
Our family has been eating here more and more. Other long-standing pizza shops in the area seem to be going downhill in this place seems to be getting better and better. Have lived in the area since 1987, Bella Italia is a welcome treat. If you've never been there before the one thing you would probably need to know is they do not serve their subs on that good pizza dough Italian bread, but the roles they use are not bad. Also, with there later schedule they are very convenient for evening take out!
We have always liked the pizza here but this weekend our Sicilian pizza had very little sauce and toppings on it, and we paid $25 for it!!! Some pieces had little suace and not one of the three toppings we ordered, and topping prices went up. It was tastless, we always wrap and save our left overs, this is the first time we have thrown pizza away and not saved. I hope this isn't a change that stays. I do not like giving negative reviews and tend not to but this pizza was bad and expensive. I am hoping it was just a fluke for what is normally tasty pizza. We will hesitate to go back.
Very good food and great sevice
Mediocre food & environment, but to be honest I kind of like it that way! Not much more expected from a [very] small town restaurant, and it definitely has that small town quaint feel.
Good food good service
Place is very clean and friendly usually local crowds. Real close to maple grove track. Food is always good and hot for take out or sit down
Good food for a good price.
Very good food and fair prices. Friendly staff. We came over from one of the local camp grounds. Great spot!
Very friendly and engaged staff. They were extremely attentive and that was definitely noted. Pizza was yummy and the price was reasonable. Will stop in again when I am in the area.
Nice little lunch stop, fair food
Strombolis are the best. The other food is excellent also.
Very good pasta. Probably some of the best, homemade sauce, I've had.
Food is okay. Owner is abrasive. Best feature is that it is the only take out place in Bowmansville.
We got several sandwiches a salad and a slice of pizza to go, when we got home and opened the box with the pizza it looked like someone cut the shape of pizza out of the box there was no cheese on it and it was hard as a rock
We stopped at this place on oir way to gettysburg. We didn't expect much because it was the first place we saw and we stopped not knowing anything about it. For our surprise the pizza was good, we really enjoyed it. The service was super good. The three stars are for the condition onf the place and specially the restrooms.
Very friendly and laid back. Really enjoyed taking my family there. Great food and the bread or sun was made out of was awesome!!
Friendly atmosphere. Great food!!!
Delicious and very friendly
Good service and food 😊
Good food. I probably get take out every week
I ordered food over the phone & he gave me a #. I picked up food & go home. It's not my order. I call & tell them. I had to drive back over. The owner basically tells me that it's my fault and gave him the wrong #. I wrote it down I tell him. I get my really cold food & go home. Very rude and unapologetic. Not a way to do business. Food isn't that good anyways.
AWESOME FOOD GREAT TASTE...REALLY ENJOYED IT
Always amazing food!
the food was very well and the view was nice
Good food and even better service
Always excellent food and friendly service. My kids and I love this place! Also one of the few pizza places in the area that serves gluten free pizza. Update: They no longer serve gluten free pizza. :( But the rest of their food is still amazing!
Only local pizza place.
I should have known better than to order flounder with crab meat ..wow I never saw anything like it ! Dry and crusty with who knows what as crab meat 🤮I took one bite and was done Not to mention they don’t even use real butter some kind of generic oil ! Worse meal I ever had !
Great place. A bit expensive.
First time here and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! The unassuming exterior opens into a warm, welcoming family owned restaurant serving real deal Italian food in a homey setting. This isn't your typical small town"pizza place". The menu is huge, everything from subs to yummy sounding entrees and yes, pizza too. From the excellent service to the delicious food, it felt like being invited to your best friend's house to share dinner with the extended family. I look forward to going back again soon!
Service was ok, but the pizza is awesome!
It was just ok. Sauce is bland. Pizza greasy. Bread and salad pretty decent. If they would kick up the flavor of the sauce, they would have something good going on there.
Nice vintage setting. Very good food, good prices. Friendly staff. Soft lighting. Would highly recommend.
We run a race near by called the Rugged Maniac. Last year (2018) we stopped here to eat after the race. This by far the BEST Stromboli I have ever had in my life. We are running this race again simply to go back to have another Stromboli. My husband and I are from Pittsburgh. If a restaurant can make is drive 5 hours for thier food. It's worth trying
Friendly owners, and empyoees.Great food, nice bar, and a handy grocery store too!
Food was great and so was the service! Very friendly atmosphere. Able to watch the games and hold a conversation.
